About Sarah Brawer, M.A
Sarah practiced as a substance abuse therapist with the court for over 14 years and has extensive experience working within the judicial system. She has been in private practice for 10 years in various locations. Sarah has worked with children in multiple settings, as well as having developed programming for children and youth.
Sarah’s education includes a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology. She has presented at the American Psychological Association conference and has been published in “Teaching of Psychology”.
She is am a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society for Academic Excellence, and a recipient of the Quill and Scroll Award.
Sarah believes in our community and is active in several organizations. She is the president and co-founder of Presents in Paradise, a non-profit organization serving local children since 2003. She is a Take Stock in Children Mentor. Sarah is an active member of the Marathon Rotary Club and can be found volunteering with other charitable organizations in the community. Following Hurricane Irma, Sarah arranged for 12 local therapists to be trained in EMDR and is the coordinator of the Florida Keys Trauma Recovery Network. She believes strongly that commitment to our community benefits the wellness of us all.
